So i bought this and the light stops working with 2 bars on the battery left (5&6ah). Not sure whats going on.

I ordered the bo001cg and it arrived last week (UK). I’ve got to say I’m super impressed with it and it’s by far the best cordless sander I’ve used. I do prefer my 3m sander for finer/stationary work but the Makita is unbeatable for snagging jobs where you can walk around a job without dragging a cord around and the comfort/vibration is so far ahead of other cordless sanders it’s unreal

Just ordered that new model and a forge battery, I like the idea of the battery isolation. My original first gen hi torque after many many years (whenever it was released till now) of daily use and abuse in an automotive workshop has eaten away the ground pin pretty badly in the tool and now requires the battery to be held on most of the time for it to make contact with the battery. I have ordered a new part to fix it so now I will have 2 :)

But can it flip my burgers on the bbq?

I'm grateful for this video, answered my question completely. I'm sure this one smoking rotary hammer saved thousands of rotary hammers from being used improperly world wide for the rest of time. I for one was about to try my SDS max bosh with an earth auger. I don't need to anymore thanks to this video.

I boughtvthis model here in the US too. My manual was about 1/8th of the book you got. I havexa problem with mine though. The pump stops it seems when the hose kinks off at the entrance to the wand. Any ideas as to why?

But if hikoki goes tabless and ups the game with straight 36v batteries to avoid bottlenecks of multivolts. Could they steal the crown back. Would a juiced up battery make or break it?

I've used these on a few occasions over the last 20 years at work. They're very good at stripping but can really damage the surface very easily and that could cost you a lot more time than the machine has saved. If there's any sort of nails or pins etc.. that have been painted over but not recessed and filled be prepared to go through a lot of blades too. Definitely not for the average tradesman or handyman if you want a decent finish. For loose or old paints it's not worth the risks, just use a decent 150mm random orbital sander(festo, bosch, makita) with 40-120g and vacuum. It's only worth using on extremely hard to sand coatings like epoxies or gelcoats in my opinion.

Weird to see the 850 trip up like that! I've had mine for a few years and beaten the shit out of it without so much as a hiccup!

Add a height of cut adjustment with another set of wheels. Like the second set of wheels on a manual reel mower and you would have a manual reel mower killer.

Very interesting vacuum. I wonder how quiet it is compared to a AC Ridged vacuum (most common here in South Florida). 17~20 min out of 12ah bat isn't great but that might work for me. I mean just for those situations where I need a more silent vacuum. So quietness is a big deal for me. Have you tested the Dewalt AC quiet vacuum? That is another very interesting option for a quieter vacuum. Around $280 here. Different animal as its ac, but Probably better build. Muxed reviews on that so hard to know if its just a weak vacuum or actually a more silent good vacuum.

I still have a corded Makita 15A AVT recip, a smooth-cutting dream of a saw... but when cordless I roll with the Metabo HPT 36v recip.

Maybe they mean to use a thunderbolt port which delivers more power and that would charge it much faster? Idk.

I love that Metabo HPT recip and I have bought 3 of them now for less than the price of one of the makitas at retail!

Do you know if dewalt is using any tabless cells in any of their batterys? How could you tell without pulling one to bits?
